My Vaquero Journal Activity Booklet (English)

This booklet is intended to be used as a supplementary activity to our bilingual children's book ¡Todos al rodeo! A Vaquero Alphabet Book by Dr. María Alma González Pérez. This alphabet book highlights the life and the history of the vaquero (cowboy). Each description is followed by a question to solicit an oral response.

The activities in this booklet are student-centered and engage children by having them think about what the life of the vaquero is like. The intent is for students to become more cognizant of their own experiences with vaquero culture by completing their own “My Vaquero Journal.”

The activity is intended to be printed double sided and folded from the middle so as to create a booklet.
